I don’t consider myself the typical “change the world” kind of guy, but what I am sharing with you might just do it. The place: America. The Age: Youth. The time: Now. In working with young men and women, I have discovered something. Something that has always been inside of them, only it is not often drawn out. If you look closely, at just the right moment, you will see the gleam in their eye, the twist of a smile, and a bit of magic in their demeanor. If we were to go even deeper inside their mind and heart, we would find that there is a yearning to create within each one of them. Though they are young, it is already within them. Though they are inexperienced, it only needs to be nurtured in the right atmosphere and with the right mentor. Then, the eagle will soar. If our rising generation is the hope for our tomorrow, then what I am doing will change the world. They must have the right tools to do amazing, if even simple, things. I see youth experiencing real life situations, failing and succeeding until the hidden light bulb we call epiphany comes out of the dark and blinks inspiration into the minds of hungry potential entrepreneurs and leaders. Only then, will these young men and women follow inspiration in a self-mastered way, and prepare themselves to resiliently change government, communities, economies, and families around the world, in such a way that we will increase the value of our land, homes, businesses, ideas, and life. In America, two words sum up this change: Entrepreneurship and Leadership.To create businesses that add value to our world, not subtract from it, as we learn from Frederic Bastiat who taught that it’s not just enough to take our piece of the pie, but we can and should make the pie bigger. And of course, they must have leadership skills, otherwise nothing will change for the better, and those in power will just have more power. In order for the world to change, people must change, and in order to change, they must be led. The genius that will create these changes can be found within even the oddest looking youth, but must be nurtured as the oak to become strong and tall to shade the growth and beauty of our world.The Young Entrepreneur Program will consist of 3 parts:
SimBiz
EconSurvivor (EconThurvivor)
AYI
These youth may not create a million dollar business while in my mentoring, but they will learn that the power was, is, and always will be within themselves. They will know how they can harness that power, and by the time they have found out what impact they want on this world, if they haven’t found it already by then, they will be ready and resilient to make creation happen from that moment on. I love it! Doesn’t that give you goosebumps? Can you imagine an army of such people. Youth coming into adulthood, starting families, prepared to take positions of power and leadership? And they are asked, “Senator, or Mr. CEO, or Mom, What can we do in such an economy as this?” And that Leader in Entrepreneurship will turn and say, “My fellow citizens, employees, or children… the world is ours, and we can create anything, and this is where I think we should start…”
If you have felt the vision I have felt in creating this program for the young men and women in our nation, please pass it on so that a youth you know may have this opportunity while they are still preparing to be our leaders of tomorrow.
“There is a tide in the affairs of men
Which, taken at the flood, leads on to fortune;
Omitted, all the voyage of their life
Is bound in shallows and in miseries.
On such a full sea are now afloat;
And we must take the current when it serves,
Or lose the ventures before us.” - William Shakespeare
